Still Life Photography - New Normal Concept

As we may know, that photography speaks more than words. As our concern in this pandemic era, we tried to elaborate the situation into our subject of art which about photography still life with a certain concept. The concept is about New Normal. Still, life needs good lighting and arrangement of the object. There also would be a particular message that students will inform by their artworks.

WAITING FOR A BETTER TOMORROW BY SALVADOR AZIZ This is the photo of my shot. In this photo, I want to tell the story of our struggle in this pandemic. The Covid-19 Virus forces us to stay at home almost all the time. We feel like we are locked in a cage. It is very frustrating. But we need to adapt. We can face this situation by making it a New Normal. Using a mask is a must every time we want to go out and meet other people. The dark atmosphere in my photo tells me that the world feels gloomy during this pandemic. But the lighting that shines from the top of the object tells that we still have hope in this New Normal.

FIGHTING WITH COVID-19 BY THALIA NATHANIA ARDELLA

The photo describes the "battle" that we are fighting with Covid-19. It have a message that we need to obey the health protocols so that we can survive this pandemic. The chess game is the one that resembles the "battle" we have. I use black as the background because it resembles dark times that we are facing. as for the black and white chess piece, the black represents people who doesn't follow health protocols. They are in the floor which resembles that they are dead. The white one in the other hand resembles the people which follows the health protocols, wear mask, use disinfectants and do physical distancing are still standing or still alive.

This is the still life photo with the new normal theme, in this photo, I used a face shield and mask. I put the mask inside the face shield and make it like the person that wears a mask with a face shield also.
